A business networking group has raised thousands of pounds for a Herts homelessness charity.

Platinum Point chose Herts Young Homeless as its charity of the year for 2017 and has raised £10,773 so far.

The group raised the money by holding sausage sizzles in Bunnings car park in St Albans, organising food bank collections at Hatfield Asda, moustache growing, a weight loss challenge, a charity sleep out in December and more.

June Cory, of advertising agency My Mustard, proposed HTH as Platinum Point’s charity of the year and formed part of the fundraising committee, which also included David Hughes of Canopy Law and Nicole Sadd of Oaklands College.

June said: “My colleagues at Platinum Point have been absolutely amazing in supporting Herts Young Homeless and all of our fund raising activities. Everyone has been so generous, and our team is all the stronger for it.”
