Bus driver in serious condition after UNO bus crashes with four vehicles in Cunningham Avenue St Albans

A bus driver is in a serious condition after he was involved in a crash in Cunningham Avenue, St Albans, yesterday (Tuesday).

The UNO bus driver, a man in his 50s, was hospitalised after the bus collided with four other vehicles at about 5.30pm.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are currently being investigated by police.

London Road as well as Cunningham Avenue were closed for more than four hours, causing severe traffic and disruption to bus services.

It is currently understood that no one else was hospitalised.

Herts Police are appealing for information. Anyone who could assist is asked to contact them via the non-emergency number 101.
