A burst water main in Mayne Avenue has caused flooding across the road

POLICE have shut off a road in St Albans due to flooding caused by a burst water main.

Affinity Water is currently in Mayne Avenue repairing a damaged section of pipework.

The main has been shut down and the company said it is unknown when the water supply will be restored.
