Criminals possibly driving a silver Audi have targeted two houses on a Bricket Wood road to steal lots of expensive items.

On December 7, between 6pm and 9pm, burglars forced a rear kitchen window to gain entry to a house in Oakwood Road. Once inside, they took a large quantity of Asian gold jewellery.

Then on December 20 between 8am and 7.40pm, on the same road, burglars smashed a glass patio door in order to steal more jewellery, designer handbags, and a Rolex watch.

A silver Audi was seen in the area at the time of both incidents and Herts police have linked the crimes.

Det Con Paul Edmondson, from the St Albans Local Crime Unit, said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have seen this vehicle or its occupants to please get in touch.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have seen similar jewellery offered for sale.”
