JEWELLERY and other valuables were stolen during a break-in at a house in Bricket Wood last week.

Thieves broke into the back of the house in Bucknalls Drive between 6.15pm and 8.30pm last Monday, March 29, and stole a large quantity of jewellery and a Compaq laptop.

Among the items of jewellery stolen were a Bulgari 18ct gold ring with diamonds, an engagement ring with half moon shape with diamonds, a yellow gold ring with five diamonds set in the band, a man's yellow-gold slave bracelet, a bracelet with German silver coins attached to the chain and a 14ct yellow-gold chain with an Egyptian Tablet.

The thieves also took a three colour gold Russian wedding ring, a white gold snake chain with a heart pendant, three Gucci watches, a white flower and pearl design wedding tiara and an engraved gold wedding band with yellow gold inside.

Pc Claire Wright, investigating, said the stolen items were not only valuable but held sentimental value for the victims.

She added: "The items are quite distinctive and I would like to appeal to anyone who believes they may have been offered these items for sale to contact police as soon as possible via the non-emergency number 0845 3300222,"

She also urged anyone who had witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area around the time of the burglary to get in touch with police.
