THREE men forced two people into a bathroom while they burgled a house in West Common, Harpenden, last Monday, December 7.
It happened between 8.30pm and 11.55pm after the trio got into the property and made a male and female wait into the bathroom.
They then ransacked the property and made off with jewellery and an amount of cash leaving the occupants uninjured but very shaken up.
The men were all wearing black clothing, carrying black rucksacks and were said to have Eastern European accents.
Pc Rebecca Primrose, investigating, said: "This is a serious incident and was clearly very distressing for the victims involved.
"This type of crime is very uncommon in the county which is why I am very keen to establish who is responsible."
