Burglars disturbed by homeowner

A HANDBAG containing cards, personal documents and cash was stolen after a house break-in in Park Street last week. Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the burglary in Park Street Lane between 8pm and 8.15pm on Wednesday, June 18.

A HANDBAG containing cards, personal documents and cash was stolen after a house break-in in Park Street last week.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the burglary in Park Street Lane between 8pm and 8.15pm on Wednesday, June 18.

A silver-coloured Audi parked on the driveway of the house and it is thought that two or three people then got out and broke into the property. They were disturbed by the home owner and made off with the handbag in the direction of Bricket Wood.

Police are looking for a white man, 5ft 8in tall and between 20 and 25. He had brown hair and was wearing a light brown jacket.

The second suspect was a white man of a similar age and also with brown hair.
