BUCKETS of water were used to extinguish a wood fire in St Albans over the Bank Holiday weekend.
St Albans firefighters were called to an area of woodland off Watford Road near Midway Surgery at 9.55pm on Monday to extinguish the small fire.
One pump and plenty of buckets of water were used to dowse the flames but nobody was hurt as a result of the incident.
A police helicopter was in attendance but the cause of the fire was recorded as accidental.
