Brownies became greenies in Harpenden recently when they helped residents at a care home plant bulbs ahead of next spring.
And with plenty of former Brownies among those living at Willow Court Care Home, Aldwickbury Crescent, the current generation of First Harpenden Brownies also helped spark lots of memories.
Last week saw the flexing of green fingers as young and old gardened side-by-side as part of the group’s community planting programme.
The visitors then sang some traditional Brownies camp fire songs to residents.
