A driver is being treated for head injuries following a crash involving four cars at junction 9 of the M1.
Two lanes have been closed and police are advising people to avoid the area and expect delays.
Three ambulances are attending the scene, although the injuries have been described as “not too serious”.
Cutting equipment is in use with two people thought to be trapped inside their cars.
