A BMW has been stolen from a driveway in St Albans, sparking police to appeal for witnesses after several burglaries this month.

Burglars broke into a London Road property between 11pm on Thursday, December 28 and 7.30am this morning (Friday).

They removed a window from the rear of the home, then stole a brown BMW 5 Series from the driveway.

Anyone with any information or CCTV has been asked to contact police on 101, and quote incident report reference HC-29122017-0126.

Herts Police officers have advised residents to lock and secure all doors and windows and keep valuables out of sight.

Last week, burglars attempted to force their way into a flat on Burnside in The Camp area.

A large amount of jewellery, handbags, and a Rolex watch were also stolen from properties on Oakwood Road in Bricket Wood.

If you have information about any of the burglaries, call police on 101.
