Artists of all ages got down on their hands and knees last week to chalk bugs, flowers and fairies on to Harpenden pavements as part of the town’s ‘Big Draw’ event.
This year’s theme - Every Picture Tells a Story - inspired a rainbow carpet of images which turned the grey streets into a colourful mural.
Artist Susan Dean, who took part in the day’s activities, said: “This was a really fun day with lots of people of all ages making their mark both on paper and pavement. The children, especially, enjoyed the pavement art.”
The Harpenden Arts Club, event organisers, meet at 7.30pm most Thursdays and runs a programme of creative workshops, life drawing and more for adults of all abilities.
