STUDENTS at Beaumont School in St Albans were celebrating their best ever A-level results this week.
Record numbers achieved top grades and places at some of the most prestigious universities including Oxford and Cambridge.
Twenty-six students gained at least three A Grades including top scorers James Richenbach and Jerome Mayaud who achieved five A grades each.
Headteacher Elizabeth Hitch said: "I am absolutely delighted with how well the students have done and congratulate them all on their very hard work. This year sees the largest group of students go on to university and I am so pleased that so many have gained places at the university of their choice.
