MORE than six months after he came into the care of the Blue Cross Animal Centre in Kimpton, Ben, a Labrador cross, is still without a new home.

Staff at the centre are very anxious that their longest-staying dog should be in a new home for Christmas and have asked the Herts Advertiser to publicise his plight.

Ben is approximately eight years old and is neutered. He is intelligent and would like a home with someone familiar with the qualities of Labradors which, as a breed, are adaptable and devoted. He loves playing with a ball and is good to walk on a lead. But he does like to chase cats and other small animals so he needs a home where he is an only pet.

Ben knows how to sit, give paw and lay down and additionally, he enjoys learning new things.

He can be seen at the Blue Cross in Kimpton Bottom from 10am to 4pm Mondays to Saturdays and from 10am to 3pm on Wednesdays. Further information can be obtained by calling 01438 832232.
