BBC Radio Five was reporting live from a building site in St Albans this morning.

Radio 5 presenter Victoria Derbyshire was at the Oaklands city campus housing development at 10am this morning to find out how the recession had affected building work there.

Work has just started on the site again and Victoria, who interviewed a representative from developers of the site Nicholas King Homes, was using St Albans as an example of a city that has survived the recession.
