A TWO-week-old baby was trapped in a car outside a St Albans restaurant yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon.
Firefighters from St Albans Fire Station were called to the Waffle House in Fishpool Street, St Michael’s Village, to find the young baby girl stuck in the Audi vehicle after her mum accidentally locked her inside.
When they arrived at the scene the baby had been in the car for around 15 minutes but was a little distressed as she was due to be fed. It took the firefighters about half-an-hour to break into the car without causing damage and the baby was fine once reunited with her mother.
