Babies were boogying their way around Verulamium at the park’s first ‘baby rave’, which raised more than £500 for charity.
The Harpenden based Hartbeeps organised a rave for babies and toddlers, which attracted more than 350 people to join in the festivities in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital.
The event saw nursery rhymes take a ‘ravey’ turn, when they were remixed for the youngsters, who partied with their parents on the sunny Thursday afternoon.
Bubbles, bunnies, puppets and pom poms accompanied the dancing and singing, with lots of local businesses holding stalls too.
Andrea Kennedy, who organised the event in just two weeks, said: “it’s about the community spirit, it’s about bringing everybody together, and it’s about parents who shake of their grown up for an afternoon.”
Hartbeeps specialises in educating under fives with the use of the sound. Andrea said: “We’re thinking of organising a baby festival to raise money for charity, babies learn so much through music.”
