A FARM village in London Colney has welcomed the arrival of hundreds of newborn lambs.
Willows Farm Village on Coursers Road carefully timed the arrival of the new flock to coincide with the recent half-term holiday so visiting children could watch the lambs being born.
Willows farmers Andrew and Anna Wolfe put up a lambing marquee so visitors could watch the newborn lambs arrive whatever the weather and new this year was Bo Peep's Lost Sheep, where children had to find lost sheep around the village to win a prize.
Andrew said that the lambing season was one of the busiest in the farming calendar: "Anna and I need to be on call 24 hours a day to make sure the sheep are well looked after.
"However, it is also one of the most satisfying times of the year and is an enjoyable yet educational event for children to experience.
