A historical author has marked 10 years in print with a signing at a Harpenden bookshop.

John Cooper, 78, has now produced 10 published books over a decade starting with his first project, A Harpenden Childhood Remembered: Growing Up in the 1940s & ‘50s in 2006.

Many of his books focus on his life growing up in the town, but he has also written about Watford, Rickmansworth and Chorleywood.

Although he no longer lives in Harpenden, he returned recently to sign copies of his new book Harpenden: The Postcard Collection, at the town’s Harpenden Books.

More information on John’s titles can be obtained from his website.
