Two conjoined schools have raised 3,000 through an Auction of Promises.
Both silent and live auctions were held at the fundraising evening for Bernards Heath Infants and Junior Schools in St Albans.
Among the auction promises were a weekend break in a cottage in Hastings, cooking lessons and decorating, a children's party hosted by infants school staff and a hamper of wine from all around the world.
Parent Hugh Sprowson, who acted as auctioneer for the night, said: "I've never been an auctioneer before and was slightly worried that I might miss some bids but the audience made sure I heard all of them".
All the proceeds went directly to the school PTAs.
