FIREFIGHTERS dealt with the latest in a string of arson attacks in London Colney for almost an hour yesterday (May 16).
Trees were set alight close to a children’s play area in Norris Close at around 11.30am. The flames were bought under control but the crew from St Albans Fire Station say that the fire could easily have got out of control, particularly after so much dry weather.
It was one of three call outs to London Colney on Tuesday to deal with small fires, although firefighters say they cannot yet say whether the other two fires were also started deliberately.
