POLICE are investigating an arson attack on a house in St Albans in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Firefighters were able to prevent any serious damage being done to the inside of the property on Woollam Crescent after the wooden steps leading up to the front door were set alight.
Minutes after attending this incident, the emergency services were alerted to a burning car just moments away on Green Lane.
The blue Volkswagen golf was burnt out in a suspected arson attack and police are investigating it as a separate incident.
