A CAR was destroyed when the garage in which it was kept went up in flames in a suspected arson attack at the weekend.

Firefighters were called to the block of garages in Caesars Road, Wheathampstead, at about 2.30pm on Sunday and found the car well alight inside one of them.

One fire crew from Wheathampstead and one from Hatfield attended.
