Two teenage boys have been arrested in connection with an alleged attempted robbery in St Albans.
The incident is reported to have happened between 4.45pm and 5.05pm on Wednesday.
A man in his 50s was cycling along Alban Way, and was allegedly pushed and kicked by a group of offenders. He suffered bruising from the assault.
The two boys - a 16-year-old from St Albans and a 17-year-old – were arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Dt Ins Alex Warwick said: “We have arrested two people in connection with this incident and are continuing to work to identify others who may have been involved.”
