A 38-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of keeping a brothel and money laundering.

Police executed two warrants, one in Old Watford Road, Bricket Wood, and the other in Lattimore Road, St Albans, last Tuesday as part of the countywide Operation Payback to crack down on people profiting from crime.

�71,500 was seized as a result of the arrest of the St Albans woman who has been police bailed.

She was one of 16 people arrested across the county as a result of Operation Payback which, as well as focusing on suspected money laundering offences, also made a number of arrests for drugs possession and supply, fraud and running a brothel.
