ARMED robbers held up a Sopwell House Hotel worker at gunpoint in the early hours of Monday morning.
It is thought the raiders entered the hotel in Cottonmill Lane, St Albans, just after midnight and confronted the member of staff before making off with a cashbox containing an undisclosed sum of money. Police could not confirm if the handgun used was real or a replica.
The two suspects, who were both wearing balaclavas and dark hooded tops, were white men aged between 17 and 18, and around 5ft 7ins tall. One of them was wearing a pair of stone-washed jeans.
