A HORSE has been stolen from a field in Chiswell Green and the distressed owner is appealing for its return.

The 25-year-old bay gelding which is 14.1 hands high with the freezemark 352U on its withers was taken from a field in Cherry Hill between midnight and 1am on Thursday, May 22.

Police investigating officer, Jackie Garnett, said: "The theft of this horse has caused its owner much distress and I am asking for the public's assistance in helping to trace the person responsible and to reunite the horse with its owner.

"I am appealing for anyone who was in the area that night who might have information that could help with our investigation to call police. Alternatively if you recognise the description of the horse, please call police on 0845 33 00 222.
