POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a road accident in Redbourn on Wednesday which left two cyclists hospitalised.
The accident happened around 7.45pm on the A5183 at the junction with Luton Lane when a silver Vauxhall Zafira is believed to have collided with the two men.
One of the cyclists, 59, sustained serious injuries and was taken to St Mary’s Hospital in London. He is currently in a critical but stable condition.
The other cyclist, 28, was taken to the Luton and Dunstable Hospital in Bedfordshire and is currently in a stable condition.
Bob Hauxwell, from the Collision Investigation Unit, said: “I am currently trying to establish the circumstances of this incident and would appeal to anyone who saw it to get in touch with me as soon as possible using the police non-emergency number 101.”
