A young man from St Albans is still missing after a week of appeals from family, friends and police.
James Smith, 20, was last seen at Hatfield Galleria on Saturday September 24 at about 10.30am and people are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.
His mother, Catherine Smith, took to Facebook to spread the word about her son in a post that, as of today (Monday), has been shared more than 28,000 times.
She said: “We are very worried as it is unlike him not to be in contact at all.”
Catherine also included details about James’s appearance. She described him as about 6ft tall with ‘big blue eyes’.
She said that at the time he was last seen he was wearing the brown hoodie (pictured) with long blue ‘beach type’ shorts with a blue and white flower print and Nike trainers. She said that he was also carrying her purple adidas rucksack.
Catherine added: “If you are out in woodland areas, parks or taking a dog for a walk along paths please look out for my son, he may be camping out somewhere as he loves the outdoors.
“Thankyou to each and everyone who has shared my post and is looking for him. Please continue to help us find our wonderful boy [sic].”
Anyone with information about James is asked to contact police via the non-emergency number 101.
