Allotments raided in Harpenden

GARDEN tools and equipment were stolen from a garage in a burglary at an allotment site in Harpenden. Some time overnight on Sunday, thieves got into the Dark Lane allotments and forced their way into two garages. They took a number of items of gardening

GARDEN tools and equipment were stolen from a garage in a burglary at an allotment site in Harpenden.

Some time overnight on Sunday, thieves got into the Dark Lane allotments and forced their way into two garages.

They took a number of items of gardening equipment including a cultivator, strimmer and lawnmower from a locked container in one of the garages.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area or who has been offered any gardening tools or equipment for sale to contact Pc Emma Collins on 0845 33 00 222 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
