Three lanes on the M1 Junction 8 for Hemel Hempstead were closed this morning to clean up a spillage following an accident where a car had overturned.
Three lanes were closed on the M1 southbound while traffic officers, firefighters and Highways England contractors cleared up an overturned car and a spillage.
One lane was left open for traffic to pass.
The road was reopened at 8am.
