All aboard the valuation bus when it comes to St Albans

Auctioneers J P Humbert – long-term supporters of Rennie Grove Hospice Care – are putting a brand new perspective on their free monthly valuations.
The company has provided St Albans’ residents with free valuations of antiques, precious metal, jewellery, fine art and specialist collectables in the city’s town hall for many years, requesting donations to Rennie Grove.
Now principal auctioneer and managingdirector, Jonathan Humbert and his team are offering the same service from their specially adapted luxury static coach.
Parked near the entrance to Boots on St Peter’s Street from 10am till 2pm on the first Tuesday of every month, the ‘valuation bus’ will give shoppers the opportunity to have items valued by experts completely free of charge and with no appointment needed.
Community fundraising manager, Nicola MacKinnon, said: “J P Humbert and the local residents who take up the offer of his team’s free valuations have raised a good amount of income and awareness for Rennie Grove over the years. It’s a fantastic way of receiving insight into family heirlooms or pieces of sentimental value whilst supporting a unique service in the heart of your community. If you’re intrigued, why not hop aboard the bus to find out more?”
J P Humbert would like to bring their valuation bus to Harpenden too. If you know of anywhere suitable, please call 01327 359595.
