HIGHLIGHTS from this year’s Alban Pilgrimage can be relived on Sunday afternoon when the event features on a BBC programme.
Saintly Places, Songs of Praise will show footage of last month’s procession through the city which saw carnival puppets, pilgrims, dignitaries and local children retell the story of Britain’s first Christian martyr, Alban.
The episode airs on BBC1 at 4.30pm and follows show host Diane Louise Jordan as she explores why certain towns and cities are associated with saints.
