A footballer who broke his leg and ankle at a game last Saturday has spoken about his injuries.
On Monday The Herts Advertiser reported the air ambulance had been called to Verulamium Park.
East of England Ambulance Service said at the time: “We were called to reports of a male with a lower leg injury in St Albans at 1.12pm.
“The air ambulance attended the scene, and the patient was taken to Watford hospital for further treatment.”
Alex Addison has revealed he broke his leg and ankle while playing a game between Old Columbus and Old Albanians.
“I had a bad challenge and the ambulance was called”, said the Old Albanian player, who also praised the air ambulance crew and hospital staff
The team’s next fixture is at Wollams Playing Field at 11.45am on Saturday.
“I will not be playing no, but I will be coming to cheer on the team.”
