Aggravated burglary in St Albans

POLICE are hunting four men who raided a St Albans flat in an aggravated burglary last week.
They forced entry to a flat near to a plumbing shop along Hatfield Road at around 10.30pm on Tuesday (June 8) before threatening the man and woman inside.
After carrying out a search of the property they then made off with cash, a television and a games console.
The occupants were unharmed in the incident and no weapon is thought to have been used.
The first culprit is described as white, around 5ft 11ins tall with a slim build and he was wearing a navy blue hooded top, a dark blue bandana, white ski goggles and black gloves.
The second burglar is thought to be black, around 5ft 7ins tall with a slim build and he was wearing dark clothing, a dark bandana and black gloves.
The third accomplice is described as black, about 24 years of age and around 5ft 11ins tall with a large build. He has short black hair and was wearing a black jumper with shiny bits in it.
Detective Constable Neil Sutton from the Local Crime Unit in St Albans said: “I would reassure people that this appears to be an isolated incident and aggravated burglaries are very uncommon in the area.
“We are following a number of lines of enquiry, however I am appealing to anyone who believes they may have seen these men in the area around the time of the incident to contact police immediately.”
