A 7.5 tonne furniture lorry caught alight on a St Albans roundabout this afternoon.
At about 4pm, firefighters in two engines rushed to the Park Street roundabout to extinguish the blaze with a hose reel.
The flames were put out by 4.30pm and no people were injured. Herts police had closed roads in the area because of debris, but they are now back open.
By 4.40pm the lorry was no longer blocking the carriageway.
