An A-list actor has shouted out a St Albans cinema at the premiere of one of this year's most anticipated films.
Audiences across the country are watching Christopher Nolan's latest blockbuster, The Odyssey, featuring a star-studded cast of Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Zendaya and Matt Damon.
The latter was interviewed by ITV reporter Sally Williams at the film's premiere in Leicester Square earlier this month.
In a short clip posted on Williams' Instagram page, she informs the actor the film is "so anticipated" that her friend booked a ticket to see "The Odyssey at The Odyssey" in Hertfordshire.
"C'mon, really?" Damon questioned before repeating the phrase.
At the time, The Odyssey cinema commented "does this mean Matt Damon knows we exist? Thanks for the shout out Sally!!"
The team has since released their own comedic video alluding to Damon repeatedly saying "he knows" about the cinema, before jokingly adding that an Anne Hathaway shoutout "would've been cooler".
The Odyssey film is an adaptation of Homer’s monument of literature, and depicts the story of Odysseus and his long voyage home after the Trojan War, during which he encounters all manner of obstacles.
Damon steps into the role of the hero accompanied by a stacked supporting cast.
