A St Albans filmmaker has claimed he has uncovered the true location of the Holy Grail in his latest documentary.
Mark Christopher Lee makes the revelation in his new film, Francis Bacon and the Holy Grail, which is now streaming on Tubi.
The film explores the life of philosopher Sir Francis Bacon and the theory that he may have helped to conceal the Holy Grail.
Mr Lee said: "St Albans has always felt like the centre of this story for me.
"Francis Bacon’s estate was at Gorhambury and he chose to be buried in St Michael’s Church. While making the film we went there and found some remarkable clues.
"I believe I have now identified the precise location and actual form of the Holy Grail, and my theories are revealed in the film.

"We also investigate the long-standing theory that Bacon was the real author of Shakespeare’s plays and whether he received secret esoteric knowledge through the Rosicrucians."
The documentary examines historic locations, coded manuscripts and expert insights, with several key sequences filmed in St Albans itself.
Sir Francis Bacon, who died in 1626, was buried at St Michael’s Church in St Albans — the parish church of his Gorhambury mansion.

What is the Holy Grail?
The Holy Grail first appeared in literature way back in the 12th century, with Christian writings claiming Jesus used the cup at the Last Supper before Joseph of Arimathea used it to catch Christ's blood at the Crucifixion.
It is claimed this gave the vessel miraculous powers of healing and eternal life but that it went missing, inspiring many stories of famous quests to locate it.
These include historical tales such as King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, as well as big screen productions including Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
A number of religious sites claim to have the real Holy Grail, including Valencia Cathedral and the Basilica of San Isidoro in Spain and the Cathedral of San Lorenzo in Italy, while a long-standing legend claims Joseph of Arimathea hid it in Glastonbury.
