A property in St Albans has been closed by police and the district council following reports of drug-related activity and anti-social behaviour in the area.
The full closure order, which prohibits anyone from entering the address on Abbots Avenue West, was granted on July 8 at St Albans Magistrates’ Court.
It comes after repeated complaints from residents about ongoing disorder and drug use linked to the property.
PC Ben Kirby, from the neighbourhood policing team, said: "No one should have to put up with the anti-social behaviour that is often linked to drugs.
"We are grateful to residents for letting us know about the problems and, as a result, the full closure order secured.
"We hope this provides some peace to people living nearby.
"We will do everything we can to prevent and deter anti-social behaviour and criminality from blighting our communities."
Neighbourhood policing teams worked closely with St Albans City and District Council’s (SADC's) Anti-Social Behaviour Officers to secure the order.
Carmel Sheringham-Ford, one of SADC's Anti-Social Behaviour Officers, added: "We work tirelessly to challenge and robustly deal with reports of anti-social behaviour.
"Where trends emerge we aim to manage and eradicate it at the earliest opportunity."
