In a busy month for the county's courts, here are seven Hertfordshire criminals who were convicted in June, including a rapist and two luxury car thieves.
1. Tapiwanashe Sibanda
A woman who was violently raped has spoken out after her attacker was jailed for almost a decade.
Tapiwanashe Sibanda invited the woman, a female sex worker, to a street away from his home in Hatfield in August 2020.
After dark, he took her to a secluded area of Ellenbrook Park where he violently and repeatedly raped her, threatening her with a concealed weapon and robbed her of her mobile phone.
After being found guilty of rape, robbery and multiple breaches of the risk order at a trial last November, Sibanda was jailed for nearly 10 years at St Albans Crown Court on Friday June 5.
2. Aurimas Sarkis and Ignas Kisskiss
Two men have been jailed for stealing more than £600,000 worth of luxury cars.
Aurimas Sarkis, 29, and Ignas Kisskiss, 37, were sentenced at St Albans Crown Court on June 24, after stealing 25 high-value vehicles, including BMWs and Mercedes, across five counties between October and December 2025.
Sarkis received a 49-month sentence, while Kisskiss was jailed for 58 months.
The thefts took place across Hertfordshire, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire.
3. Chris Caincross
A man has been jailed after repeatedly breaching a criminal behaviour order (CBO) and carrying out a string of thefts in Harpenden.
Chris Caincross, 37, of no fixed abode, has been sentenced to 16 weeks in prison after breaching the order five times.
He also committed four shoplifting offences, including the theft of meat and chocolate from BP Harpenden.
On Tuesday June 9, Cairncross was handed an eight-week prison sentence for the CBO breach and two weeks for the BP theft.
4. Michael Hatch and Dean Jeffery
Two people have been jailed following a police crackdown on shoplifting in Stevenage.
Michael Hatch, 41, of Lonsdale Road, Stevenage, was sentenced to nine months in prison for four counts of theft and further offences committed during a suspended sentence.
Dean Jeffery, 45, of Tye End, Stevenage, received a three-month sentence for six counts of theft, with both being sentenced at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court on June 9.

5. Christoffer Thorkelsen
A Norwegian man has been jailed for multiple sexual offences committed during a visit to Hertfordshire.
Christoffer Thorkelsen, 30, from Norway, sexually assaulted a child under the age of seven and exposed himself in a charity shop in Welwyn Garden City while in the UK with his family last year.
At St Albans Crown Court on June 5, Thorkelsen was jailed for four-and-half years for sexual assault and a further five months for indecent exposure, to be served consecutively.
He will be deported upon his release from prison.
