A popular Danish homeware brand is set to open a new store in St Albans this summer.
Søstrene Grene will be bringing its Scandinavian-inspired homeware, kitchenware, crafts, toys, and gifts to The Maltings.
The international family-owned brand is known for its calming store layouts and affordable, design-led products.
Richard Marrett, centre manager at The Maltings, said: "We are thrilled to welcome Søstrene Grene to The Maltings this summer.
"The arrival of such a well-loved international brand is fantastic news for St Albans and reflects the growing appeal of The Maltings as a destination for both retailers and shoppers.
"Their unique and inspiring range of homeware, lifestyle products, crafts, and gifts will bring something different to our retail mix, complementing our existing offer and enhancing the experience for visitors."
Søstrene Grene, which translates to 'The Grene Sisters' in Danish, offers 'sense of hygge' collections which is the Danish concept of cosiness.
The brand currently operates over 70 stores across the UK and is currently in the works to open a site in Hitchin.
Mr Marrett said: "The response to our announcement on social media has been overwhelming, with hundreds of reactions, comments and shares from people across the area."
He believes the opening "further reinforces the vibrancy of The Maltings" and supports its commitment to "bringing exciting brands and experiences to St Albans".
