A St Albans pizza shop has made the "difficult decision" to close its doors.
PizzAyo's has shut its Victoria Street location after almost eight months in the city.
The restaurant, which opened in September 2025, served artisan pizza using high-quality ingredients for both in-house and takeaway customers.
A social media post confirming the closure read: "After much consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close PizzAyo's.
"From day one, our goal was simple: to use the best ingredients, maintain high standards, and never compromise on quality."

The statement suggested "rising costs and the current economic climate" meant the team would have to lower the high standard of food they believed in.
"We are truly grateful to everyone who supported us, ordered from us, and was part of our journey, serving you has been an honour and a pleasure," the post concluded.
During its time in St Albans, PizzAyo's accrued an impressive 4.6/5 stars on Google Reviews.
One user said: "I honestly haven’t had a pizza this well-balanced in a long time. The dough was just right not too thick, not chewy with a perfect texture and bake."
While another commented: "Best pizza I’ve had outside of Naples. By far the best pizza in St Albans. My family and I love this place."
