Thousands visit Tulleys Tulip Fields in London Colney

Since its launch on April 11, the sunny weather and blooming flowers have drawn in plenty of crowds to Tulleys Tulip Fields.

Guests travelled from across the country to experience the vibrant displays, with many comparing the Herts attraction to the world-famous Dutch gardens and describing it as "the UK’s version of Keukenhof".

The colourful site, based at Willows Activity Farm in London Colney, is currently showcasing 750,000 tulips and over 100 varieties, creating sweeping landscapes of reds, pinks, yellows and oranges, that continue to evolve throughout the spring season.

Stuart Beare, owner of Tulleys Farm who operate Tulleys Tulip Fest, said: “It’s been incredible to see so many people visiting Tulleys Tulip Fields, especially over the weekend during the warm and sunny weather.

"What’s been really special is hearing guests compare the festival to Keukenhof and call it the UK’s version. That’s exactly the kind of experience we set out to create.”

All the bulbs were planted back in autumn 2025 and are now in their absolute peak condition for visitors to enjoy.

Stuart added: “The Fields will be open everyday until 6pm before the last day on Monday, May 4, making it a great destination for a warm spring evening after work and school.”

Guests can wander through vibrant tulip fields, take in scenic viewpoints, capture striking photo moments and enjoy a relaxed day out surrounded by colour.

Alongside the floral displays, visitors can enjoy a range of seasonal food and drink, including Dutch-inspired street food, as well as live music and spaces to unwind and explore.

The combination of scale, atmosphere and attention to detail has helped position Tulleys’ tulip festivals as one of the UK’s most talked-about spring experiences.
