A short film about a problem-solving character called Jeff has won top honours in a new German language competition.
Roundwood Park School in Harpenden took first place in the Friends of Alzey's inaugural Schools Short German Film Competition.

Year 8 students Seb and Ernest impressed with their winning film Darf ich......vorstellen? (May I introduce......), which featured 'Jeff', a character with a practical solution to every problem.
Laura Davies, head of modern foreign languages at Roundwood Park, said: "extremly proud of the students for the hard work and effort they put into making their films".

The judges praised the creative use of German, technical skill and originality.
Roundwood Park also took the runner-up spot with Gracies’ Zauberschau, a lively magic show.
