A motorcyclist has died after a crash involving a car in Kings Langley.
Emergency services raced to the incident which occurred at around 1am on Watford Road, near Hunton Bridge.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, was serious injured after the red Triumph motorbike he was riding and a red Toyota Prius collided.
He was rushed to hospital but sadly died a short time later.
The driver of the Prius has been assisting officers with their enquiries who are now appealing for witnesses, information and dash cam footage.
Sergeant Nicholas Kane from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit said: "Our thoughts are with the man’s family at this difficult time.
"I am appealing to anyone who may have been driving in the area at the time and saw the events leading up to the collision to please get in touch.
"If you have a dash cam fitted, please review your footage as you may have captured something that could assist us with our enquiries."
