de Havilland Aircraft Museum hosts Mosquito International Day

The de Havilland Aircraft Museum was the venue for Mosquito International Day, which was organised by The People's Mosquito charity to "honour international aircrew and support teams that made the Mosquito such a success in World War Two".

The prototype Mosquito was developed and built in secret at the museum's site in 1939-40.

100 visitors attended the event.

The crowd included enthusiasts, including members of the Polish Air Force Memorial Committee.

RAF Bircham Newton Heritage Centre was represented, as were members of Squadron X Bomber Command Re-enactors.

One major participant was 105-year-old Colin Bell, who took Mosquitos on 50 bombing missions.
