An "unsafe" Hemel Hempstead car park is set to be shut for more than two months after a lorry got stuck there.
The car park at the rear of Bennetts End Surgery in Gatecroft has long been deemed to be in a "very poor state of repair", with the surgery warning the public in December 2025 that they "park there at their own risk".
After the Dacorum Borough Council refuse lorry became stuck there yesterday (March 17), the car park is now officially out of action and set to be re-laid.

The decision was taken following discussions between the surgery, senior council officers and councillors for the area Lin Greenfield and Pete Hannell, as it is "very badly rutted" and "too unsafe".
According to councillor Hannell, work to lay a new purpose-built car park will begin at the end of April or early May and last three or four weeks.
This means that there will be no parking at the site until the end of May, with the car park having closed at 8am this morning (March 18).
