The government has issued a yellow cold health alert for the east of England.
The alert, lasting until Saturday, November 22 at 8am, warns of the possibility of "significant impacts" across health and social care services.
This includes a potential rise in deaths, particularly among those aged 65 and over, increased demand for remote healthcare services and impacts on the workforce affecting delivery of services.

It also cites potential challenges keeping indoor temperatures at the recommended 18 degrees Celsius, leading to more risk to vulnerable people.
The "risk score" given by the alert is 10 out of a maximum of 16, which equates to a "medium" impact.
