Two new semi-detached homes could be coming to St Albans, after plans were submitted to St Albans City and District Council (SADC).
The pair of new homes would come after the demolition of an existing bungalow at 7 Westfields.
Developers R and R W Homes Ltd say that the homes are in an established residential area with good transport links and note that the character of the area would not be damaged as there are a variety of different housing types on the road.
A version of these plans were rejected last year, with planning officers deeming that three houses replacing the bungalow could not be constructed, due to the "overbearing" nature of the proposed properties.
But the planning statement accompanying the application says that the new plans for two houses have been "accepted in principle" by SADC.
The statement points to the lack of housing in St Albans and says that "small sites such as this make a valuable contribution to the housing supply."
