The main road through a Suffolk village will be closed today.
Drivers are being warned of a 14-mile diversion route while Bures Road in Assington is closed on Wednesday.
Suffolk Highways is carrying out urgent works to clear drains after flooding across the road.
The closure is from Wormingford Road to The Street in the village.
It will be shut from 9am to 3pm on Wednesday.
A signed diversion route will be in place and is expected to add around 30 minutes to people's journeys.
